Isopropyl Alcohol

Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) is used predominantly for substrate drying applications (e.g. wafers, photomasks, LC). IPA vapour or liquid techniques are used to displace the water droplets. IPA may also prevent the corrosion of sensitive metals when it is used after solvent resist strip from metal layers. Other applications include: Use for the general cleaning of machine parts and cleanroom surfaces. Use as an anisotropic silicon etch with Potassium Hydroxide.
