OMG’s catalysts are produced for use in polymerization, refining, urethane, resin and other specialty applications. They can be produced as solutions in a variety of organic solvents, as solvent-free liquids or as solids in powder or pastille form. Catalyst types include oxidation, esterification, Ziegler-Natta, hydrogenation and various homogeneous catalysts.
Applications in the polymerization space that we serve include styrenics, nylon, PTA/PET and polyester resins. Product types for polymerization are chain transfer agents, Ziegler-Natta catalysts, esterification catalysts, nylon catalysts and coloring agent catalysts.
OMG’s urethane catalysts are used in the manufacture of rigid foam, flexible foam and elastomers. Our extensive experience allows us to produce custom formulations to meet the most demanding polyurethane specifications.
Resins and composites require specialized catalysts or promoters to accelerate, control and enhance the composite manufacturers end products. Our ACE line works hand in hand w/ peroxides to Accelerate the reaction, Control the gel-time-drift and Enhance the color, brittleness, cure rate and synthesis requirements.
Nickel carboxylates are used as hydrogenation catalysts in the chemical refining industry. Another metal we offer as a desulfurization catalyst for refining is molybdenum.
Specialty markets we serve include carbon black and the flavors & fragrances industries. Products here include those that help control particle size and descale reactors and also serve as oxidation catalysts
