OM Group Environment, Health, Safety and Product Stewardship Policy:

We at OMG commit to all of our stakeholders, including our associates, shareholders, customers, business partners, suppliers, local communities and government entities, that we will conduct all aspects of our business with respect and care for people and the environment.

The following guiding principles are the foundation of this Policy:

• OMG will provide a safe, healthy and secure workplace. 
• We will strive towards a goal of zero injuries and occupational illnesses.
• Working safely is a condition of employment for all OMG associates.
• We will utilize risk assessment to proactively identify hazards in new and existing processes in order to control and manage those hazards.
• We will actively support each other in working safely.
• We will promote a positive Safety Culture lifestyle both on and off the job.
• We will promote excellence in process safety management.
• We will strive to ensure the security of all facilities and throughout the value chain.

• Product Stewardship
• We will implement and support the responsible handling and use of our products at all stages of their lifecycle.
• We will undertake product risk assessment and communicate product handling, use, hazard, and risk information to our stakeholders.
• We will engage customers and other downstream users to support their safe use of our products.
• We will utilize reasonably available resources to expand the EHS information we have regarding our products and our raw materials.

• Environmental Management
• We will actively strive to prevent adverse environmental impacts from both new and existing processes and products.
• We will embrace the principles of sustainability and environmental stewardship in all aspects of our business, including evaluating and implementing conservation, pollution prevention, reuse and recycling opportunities.

• Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, corporate standards and voluntary agreements regarding the environment, health, safety, product stewardship and security
• We will participate actively in the development of scientifically valid, cost-effective environment, health and safety, product safety and security laws, regulations and standards.

• Continuous improvement in environmental, health, safety, product stewardship and security performance
• We will emphasize our commitment to continuous improvement through participation in Responsible Care.
• We will implement and maintain management systems consistent with Responsible Care, ISO or other appropriate international standards at all OMG facilities.
• We will seek public input and respond to stakeholder concerns about our products and operations.

• Accountability
• Our business plans will include measurable EHS and security objectives.
• Management will be responsible to communicate objectives to all associates.
• We will regularly review progress and report on our performance. 
• The training and resources necessary to implement this Policy will be provided. 
• Management for each business and site are responsible to educate and motivate associates to act in accordance with this Policy and the established goals and objectives. 
• Ethical behavior and conformance with this Policy are the responsibilities of every associate. 
• Deviations from this Policy must be communicated to management, either directly or through utilization of the My Safe Workplace reporting system.

We will meet our commitment through continuous improvement in safety, health, environmental, and product stewardship performance, using the principles and management practices of the Responsible Care® initiative.
