Polymerization Catalysts
OMG has the experience to custom-design catalysts for a wide variety of very specific applications.
These catalysts are produced as solutions in a variety of organic solvents, as solvent-free liquids or as solids in powder or pastille form. The choice of product form is dictated by the requirements of the application.
In addition to the standard products, custom-designed metal carboxylates for specific applications are available. We work closely with our customer's R&D group to develop proprietary catalysts to meet the specific product and performance requirements of a given application.
Most metals are available for use with the organic acids and solvents chosen to produce the desired finished catalyst.
Polymerization applications for which we create products includestyrenics, nylon, PTA/PET, poly-alpha olefins and polyester resins.
Styrenics
These catalysts are produced as solutions in a variety of organic solvents, as solvent-free liquids or as solids in powder or pastille form. A common application for nickel catalysts is in processes involving hydrogenation/polymerization. The choice of product form is dictated by the requirements of the application.
