Driers for Solvent-borne Coatings
HEX-CEM® Driers (Octoates)
OMG's Hex-Cem driers are produced from 2-ethylhexanoic acid and represent important improvements over naphthenates and tallates. Since 2-ethylhexanoic acid is a synthetic organic acid, the quality does not vary and other important advantages are inherent. Compared with naphthenates and tallates, Hex-Cems offer better color, lower odor and somewhat greater efficiency.
TEN-CEM® Driers (Neodecanoates or Versatates)
Our exclusive family of Ten-Cem driers, named for their unusual 10-carbon chain - offers the ultimate in refinement in color and odor, improved solubility and complete stability. Produced from synthetic neodecanoic acid or versatic acid, Ten-Cems offer unvarying quality and guaranteed continuous supply. CEM-ALL® Driers (Synthetics)
OMG's CEM-ALL driers are produced from a blend of synthetic acids, assuring you greater product stability and uniformity. This synthetic acid blend yields improved metal solubility in some solvent systems with the consistent quality typical of these synthetic acids. CEM-ALL metal carboxylates offer maximum metal concentrations in solution in order to provide our customers with the best economics.
NAP-ALL® Driers (Naphthenates)
Naphthenates have long been the standard in driers and are still in many instances logical to employ. OMG Nap-Alls are produced from highly refined naphthenic acid under rigid standards of quality control, thus assuring you of unfailing high quality, outstanding light color, excellent stability, minimum odor and low viscosity.
